Keys History & Discovery Center’s Cocktails with the Curator Includes Guest

Archaeologist Ryan Harke Joins Brad Bertelli

Islamorada, FL – A virtual program, Cocktails with the Curator, is being offered by Keys History & Discovery Center on Wednesday, March 3, 6-7 p.m., via Zoom, and brings a special guest with the addition of Ryan Harke.

Bring your questions about prehistoric Indian cultures in the Florida Keys. Harke, a Florida archaeologist and PhD candidate, has worked for contract archaeology firms and for the Florida Public Archaeology Network for the past 13 years. His work is focused on the Native American cultures of the Florida Keys.

The program is free to attend but capacity is limited. Advance registration is required at www.keysdiscovery.com/curatorconnections. Priority access is for museum members with session seats being assigned exclusively to members until the Monday prior to the event at 9 a.m. When the member priority access window closes, any non-members who have registered will be given remaining slots in the order in which they registered. Registrants will receive a confirmation e-mail with a link to join the session when the virtual seat is assigned.

Cocktails with the Curator and Community Views, another program with Bertelli, resulted from the extended stay-at-home order, will continue as part of the regular program offerings by Keys History & Discovery Center.
