Dolphin Research Center Donates to Student Goody Bags

Grassy Key, FL — The Monroe County School District recently reached out to Dolphin Research Center (DRC) to see if the center would like to contribute to the district’s Family Academic Day program. The district is  providing a “goody bag” that they will then distribute to students at specific schools throughout the Keys.

DRC loves supporting students and quickly said yes to the request. An array of wonderful items including dolphin stickers, family admission passes for four, coasters, pens and white boards from the DRC Training Institute, note pads, and more were quickly collected.

Elizabeth Hogan, the Family and Community Engagement Coordinator (Title I) and Project Manager 21st CCLC (Title IV B) along with Carolina Canton – Title I District Contact from the school district – recently visited DRC to pick up all of the items donated for the students. They were brought to meet dolphins Talon and Flagler. Talon was quick to approve the selection of goodies!
