Man found dead on Stock Island

A 51-year-old Key West man was found dead on the 5300 block of the Overseas Highway early Monday morning.

Michael John Pierce was found by passing bicyclist at the former Metro PCS building at 3:24 a.m. The bicyclist then notified the Sheriff’s Office.

Foul play does not appear to be a factor.

Pierce was declared dead at the scene.

His address was listed as streets of Key West.
