The spiny lobster, stone crab and blue crab fisheries industry has an annual multi-million-dollar economic impact and are an iconic part of the Florida Keys and South Florida’s culture and history. Join us online as Dr. Gravinese discusses how South Florida’s celebrated crustacean fisheries can be affected by stressors that threaten Florida’s coastal environments. Learn about Mote Marine Laboratory’s exciting and ongoing research specific to stone crab and spiny lobster. The research is attempting to characterize how these species may respond to the potential environmental changes that threaten their sustainability.
