The Southernmost Homeless Assistance League announces the resignation of Executive Director Elicia Pintabona

The Southernmost Homeless Assistance League (SHAL), regrets to announce the resignation of Executive Director Elicia Pintabona. SHAL is the operator of the Keys Overnight Temporary Shelter (KOTS) and also provides case management services to the homeless. Ms. Pintabona initially joined SHAL as a Case Manager in 2013 and subsequently was promoted to Outreach Director in 2015. She was promoted to Executive Director in January 2018. Ms. Pintabona and the Board of Directors recognize that in the midst of the exigent circumstances of the current time it is ever important to maintain continuity of operations and leadership, therefore, Ms. Pintabona has agreed to stay on an interim basis as SHAL works to identify an appropriate replacement. She has served our community, our organization and the homeless residents of Monroe County with professionalism and distinction.
