MONROE COUNTY TO HOST VIRTUAL BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING ON APRIL 15
MONROE COUNTY – Due to COVID-19 current state of emergency, Monroe County adopted an emergency order to hold its Wednesday, April 15, 2020 Board of County Commissioners meeting virtually to handle any items needed to move the County forward. The meeting can be viewed starting at 9 a.m. via traditional means at www.monroecounty-fl.gov/mctv and on channel 76 on Comcast or channel 99 on AT&T U-Verse, or on the MCTV Roku channel.
The March BOCC meeting was canceled due to COVID-19. Any items that were postponed have been moved either to April virtual meeting or postponed longer until the May meeting, or as needed. Any items that may bring considerable public interest have also been conscientiously postponed due to COVID-19.
For those wishing to provide public comment on a specific issue, the public can view the published agenda and agenda backup at www.monroecounty-fl.gov/meetings or more directly at http://monroecountyfl.iqm2.com/citizens/default.aspx.
Persons wishing to address the Board regarding an item(s) can participate electronically at www.monroecounty-fl.gov/boccmeeting at 9 a.m. on April 15. Once registered as a participant (name and email), participants will have the ability to address the board on items of interest. This can be done by selecting the button on the device labeled “raise hand.” Once the button is selected, the host of the meeting will recognize the participant and allow speaking capabilities. The public can also participate via phone (audio only) by dialing 646-518-9805 and, when requested, enter the Webinar ID# 434 572 051. To comment on an item, pressing *9 will also “Raise Hand.”
If a member of the public desires to submit written or other physical evidence which he or she desires to offer into evidence for items on the published agenda to be considered for this meeting, the documents must include the submitter’s name, address, phone number and email address, and the Agenda Item Number of the item the documents are regarding. The documents must be received in the County Administrator’s office no later than 9 a.m. on Monday, April 13. The documents must be submitted by either email to [email protected] or mail to Lindsey Ballard, Executive Administrator for Roman Gastesi, 1100 Simonton Street, Key West, FL 33040.
