Key West Artisan Market Goes Virtual

The popular Key West Artisan Market is now virtual on Facebook. The local event, usually held on Sundays at Higgs Beach, attracts some of the best artists, crafters, makers, musicians and writers in the Keys who are now temporarily out of work while the island isolates from the COVID-19 virus. Organizers developed a slogan “Let’s Do This” to encourage solidarity in compliance so this can get over quickly and back normal. They created a free “Let’s Do THIS!” activity game and the Let’s Do This: Virtual Artisan Market facebook event. The virtual event will run daily, 10 am to 10 pm until such time the physical markets resume. Artists are encouraged to post links to their products and online stores, specials and exclusive offers for Key West Artisan fans.  The free “Let’s Do THIS! –  what to do when you hide from the ‘flu'” activity deck is available online at https://bit.ly/LetsDoTHIS. The game is 24 Action cards each with 4 suggestions resulting in 96 random tasks to motivate and encourage new things.  One task suggestion a day will be highlighted on the Let’s Do This: Virtual Artisan Market facebook event.

The Key West Artisan Market has always been ‘where the locals meet’ and now is ‘where the locals meet online’. Guests from around the globe are invited to join in and support Florida Keys talent.
