MONROE COUNTY FIRE RESCUE HOSTS ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT ON MARCH 28 AT BIG COPPITT FIRE STATION

BIG COPPITT KEY, FL – Monroe County Fire Rescue is hosting its annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 28 at 10 a.m. at the Big Coppitt Fire Station, 28 Emerald Drive. The Easter Bunny will be on site for pictures after hiding 6,000 eggs and one “special” golden egg for kids to find. There will also be an area designated for small children.

Children also can tour a fire truck, meet the on-duty firefighters, and safely help the firefighters put out a pretend house fire.

Farmer Jeanne Selander will bring some of her cute critters from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Animal Farm. Snow cones and cotton candy also will be served.

“The Monroe County firefighters have been doing this for at least the past 11 years,” said Monroe County Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Steve Hudson. “It’s one of the firefighters’ favorite annual events for kids.”
