FDOT suspends Cow Key Bridge lane closure tonight or Saturday night

A contractor for the Florida Department of Transportation reported Friday morning that there will be NO single lane closures on Cow Key Bridge Friday night or Saturday night.

AT&T is moving their equipment behind the guardrail for the weekend.

AT&T resume its normal schedule on Sunday: Closing the northbound inside lane of U.S. 1 of the Cow Key Bridge from 10 p.m. — 5:30 a.m. on Sundays through Thursdays until March 6, 2020.

All four lanes will be open during the day.

The work is being done in preparation of the Florida Department of Transportation’s larger Cow Key Bridge project to repair damage to the bridge.

There will be public information meeting hosted by FDOT about the Cow Key Bridge project from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, at Key West City Hall, 1300 White St.
