Jane Washburn is a plein air painter who finds inspiration from a love of South Florida’s natural treasures.  The majestic Blue Heron and other tropical birds in their various habitats are frequent themes in her body of work.  Jane uses a limited palette to capture light and shadows and the interaction of vibrant tropical colors.

She finds that oil is a fantastic medium in which to portray this color, light and texture.

Christos Calivas, a self taught painter, works in Maine and spends part of his time in Greece and Key West.  He has studied painting with many notable artists at the Massachusetts College of Art. Calivis’ paintings are an exploration of the spectrum between realism and abstract.
