Island Pride Gets A Free Ride
The City of Key West Utilities Department and Transit Department are teaming up to bring some island pride to the City of Key West through a program called Trash for Transit. The City hosts local cleanups throughout the City each month, anyone who shows up at these cleanups and participates will receive a 24-Hour City bus pass.
Plogging the Keys is a Keep Key West Beautiful program funded through the City’s Utility Department. Every Friday morning volunteers meet our Solid Waste Coordinator Dee Dee Green at different locations from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. and help clean up that area by picking up litter and targeting cigarette butts for a special recycling program.

December 20th: 3228 Flagler (at the Dion’s) 8 a.m.
December 27th: Duval Street at corner of Front and Duval 8 a.m.
