College to hold 60th Commencement Ceremony, first as “The College of the Florida Keys”
KEY WEST, FL, December 9, 2019— The College of the Florida Keys will hold its sixtieth Commencement Exercises for the graduating Fall Class of 2019 on Friday, December 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the Key West Campus. The College will award bachelor’s and associate degrees and certificates to 65 graduates in its first graduation ceremony since the College’s name changed to The College of the Florida Keys. The event will be streamed live on CFK’s Facebook page.
State Senator Anitere Flores will deliver the Keynote Address to the class. Graduate Nolan Schott, who has earned a bachelor’s degree in Supervision and Management as well as an associate degree in Marine Environmental Technology, will present the Student Address. The College will honor late student Luke Lowder with a posthumous associate degree in Diving Business and Technology. The young Army veteran passed away earlier this year.
