Awesome Foundation awards 2nd grant for Awesome Idea
Trustees of the Awesome Foundation Key West chapter presented a $1000 cash grant on Tuesday to “Washed Up Key West” and its artist collective on Stock Island for Kasidy Fritts’ grant application that stated, “Washed Up Key West has recently moved to a larger location and added three other artists to create a unique artist collective on Stock Island. Together, we are going to use the Awesome grant money to continue our objective of beautifying Stock Island by creating stunning murals and urban art … that will attract locals and tourists as a destination.” Pictured left to right, “Washed Up Key West” artists Jamie Mattingly (kneeling), Jack McDonald, Kasidy Fritts, Nick Soto, Awesome Foundation trustees Michael Shields, Chase Hurst, Melissa Doucette Trader, Lynne Bentley-Kemp, Todd Fiet, Bill Klipp, David Johnson.
