Community Meeting Explores Environmental Issues

Key West Vice-Mayor Sam Kaufman will be holding a community meeting focusing on the local environment Thursday, November 14th from 5:15 until 7:30 p.m. at the VFW, 2200 No. Roosevelt Blvd.

Vice-Mayor Kaufman, other local officials and community members will discuss updates and status of critical local environmental issues such as the local landfill know as Mt. Trashmore, increasing solar power throughout the City of Key West, the health of the coral reef, regulations concerning plastic bags/utensils, genetically modified mosquitoes, and the safety of our water supply.
