Man arrested for sexual assault 

A 45-year-old Conch Key man was arrested for sexual assault Thursday.

George Alexander Smith Wilson was charged with sexual assault by a person 18 or older on a person 18 or older and burglary with a sexual assault or battery.

The 29-year-old victim told Major Crimes Unit Detectives that a man known to her, Wilson, was in her residence on Conch Key when she went to turn in for the night on Sept. 11. She stated that Wilson began forcibly kissing her while she told him no. She stated Wilson pulled her pants down and forcibly kissed her there while she said no. The victim stated Wilson penetrated her against her will. The victim then received a phone call and Wilson abruptly left her room.

The victim stated she has no prior sexual history with Wilson and had never given Wilson access to her room.

Detectives performed a controlled call with the victim to Wilson. Wilson admitted to the acts in the phone call.

A warrant was issued for Wilson’s arrest with a $300,000 bail.

Wilson was booked into jail Thursday afternoon.
