Our Town ~ Our Park! Party in the Park ~ A Cultural Celebration in Truman Waterfront Park
The City of Key West, Florida Keys Council of the Arts, Art in Public Places, The Studios of Key West and Bahama Village Music Program invite you to a “Party in the Park” Friday, September 20th from 5-7pm on the quay in Truman Waterfront Park in front of the USCGC Ingham.
This cultural celebration brings together many of our community’s beloved organizations and artists to celebrate the arts and culture of our beautiful community park. Truman Waterfront Park Arts & Culture master plan, funded by a prestigious “Our Town” grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, has invigorated and engaged Key West’s newest public space.
Come enjoy performances by the Key West High School Conchettes, the Caribbean Queen Junkanoos, Bahama Village Music Program’s “House of Pan” Steel Pan Band, and Key West’s own Coffee Butler while exploring Truman Waterfront Park.
Rick Worth will wow the crowd by re-painting the Studio’s of Key West’s art van and Centennial Bank will provide free hot dogs and hamburgers.
We want to thank everyone who attended one of our community meetings, focus groups, had an interview or completed an online survey. Key West is incredibly fortunate to have received this magnificent waterfront property, and we owe a particular debt of gratitude to the many, many people who dedicated their time and talent to design, fund and build this wonderful Park for us all to enjoy.
This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts. To find out more about how National Endowment for the Arts grants impact individuals and communities, visit www.arts.gov.
