Mall on Duval Pedestrian Mall – EXTENDED HOURS
MALL ON DUVAL PEDESTRIAN MALL CONTINUES WITH ITS SUCCESS
Mall on Duval, the transformation of the 500, 600 and 700 blocks of Duval Street into a Pedestrian Mall on Friday and Saturday nights which debuted on February 15th, continues to be a tremendously successful and well-attended event enjoyed by visitors, guests and locals alike. Mayor of Key West, Teri Johnston, points out that “This weekly event has really brought the community together and has exceeded our expectations of what a pedestrian mall could do for our town. Creating a positive pedestrian experience is just the start of implementing our vision for Duval Street.”
EXTENDED HOURS – STARTS AT 2PM
Because of the success, the hours have been extended. Now, each Friday and Saturday night, Mall on Duval begins at 2PM instead of 5PM. There will be no vehicular traffic on Duval Street from Fleming Street to Petronia Street beginning at 2PM and ending at Midnight each Friday and Saturday night. Come on out this Friday and Saturday, June 21 and 22, starting at 2PM.
Bring your kids. Bring your dogs. Bring your guests. “I don’t care how you get here, just… get here if you can.” Mall on Duval is waiting for you.
