Man arrested for damaging residence
A 32-year-old Ramrod Key man was arrested Monday after a ruckus with roommates led him to smash holes in a hallway and damage a safe.
Alex Jordan Hirst was charged with assault, battery, property damage and burglary.
Deputy Anthony Buscemi was called to the 26000 block of Mariposa Road about 10:15 a.m. regarding a disorderly, intoxicated male who was damaging property. Deputy Buscemi arrived to find the property owner who stated his tenant, Hirst, woke him and others at 4:30 a.m. by revving a motorbike under the house. The owner told him to stop. The owner woke again at 5:30 a.m. to find Hirst arguing with another tenant. The owner told Hirst to sleep if off when Hirst tried to push him, so the owner put him on the ground and called 911. Hirst went to a friend’s house at that time and was not arrested.
Deputy Buscemi want to that second location, found Hirst, and brought him back to the primary residence.
The owner stated that at approximately 10 a.m. he returned to his residence to find his locked bedroom broken into via a hole in the bedroom door. The gun safe inside his room was knocked over, damaging several guns inside and a watch that was on top. There were holes to the walls inside the room as well as the hallway. The owner stated that Hirst also threatened to beat him up.
Hirst also told Deputy Buscemi he wanted to beat up the owner.
Hirst was taken to jail.
