The PAC was a joke. Tony was treated unfairly. Todd invited anyone to speak, who wanted to test the waters, and when he stepped up, he was asked to step down. Cates' supporters, who were under a protected environment, we're allowed to act rudely. This whole election process is a joke. There needs to be an open debate, where allthe candidates need to answer the same questions. At last year' s PAC , at the Tropic, the questions were asked of one candidate only. We, the citizens and voters, deserve a better, open and transparent campaign process
Thanks for this spirited and true account of what happened at the PAC meeeting. It was rude behavior and Todd should have called it to an immediate halt. I agree that Todd has a conflict with his being on the editorial board of the daily. Sadly the daily does no investigative reporting, stays away from most controversial issues, and one can assume is suffering by a loss of subscribers and advertisers. My residential neighborhood – in a 8 block section – has at least 5 of the daily papers vending machines, and on the nearest major intersection 2 to 4 people each morning hawking the paper.
I agree with the writer. Our daily newspaper is in the tank for the incumbent mayor. I think Ms. Romero will be an excellent choice for mayor.

I say Rick Boettger for mayor!
