Key West is a wonderfully open and tolerant community that explicitly believes in “One Human Family” and in free speech.
But a small number of (allegedly non-Key West) people who own or operate a few cosmetic shops have: fraudulently preyed on vulnerable KW guests (for huge amounts of money), aggressively harassed and bullied KW pedestrians, and used hate speech on passers-by and the courageous local citizens who are protesting and trying to protect tourists. These bad actors have also violated KW code regulations.
Our terrific Mayor and Commissioners must protect our tourists, our legitimate local businesses and our precious reputation, by all means available.

• Don’t you wish you had a wall to stop these “bad actors”?
• Maybe take some advise: “Donald Trump said…his immigration plan would include deporting the “bad hombres”
• Next KW will issue residency cards

John … Don’t be an idiot. The people working in these stores didn’t swim across the Rio Grande in the middle of the night. As I understand it, most of them are on student visas and working illegally. The government could deport them today If it wanted. This has nothing to do with Trump’s medieval wall.

Why the intolerance? These poor people have come to the US to make a better life for themselves. And you want them deported? Shame on you!
Follow the example of more enlightened cities and states; declare KW a “sanctuary”. Also oppose KW authorities from working with ICE or Border Patrol. Open your home and mind to others!
From other reports, I learned that these illicit operators are Israeli citizens. Why doesn’t the city of Key West remove their licence to operate in the city and make them prone for police apprehension? The city counsel could easily do that as there are obviously plenty of complaints against such practices.
Remember history? When the Romans fell because their peasant class rose up and destroyed that culture? Remember when the Kings fell during the Medieval Times due to the same? Remember when America had a civil war due to bleeding hearts and peasants? Remember when the invasion of useless eaters over took control in California? Remember when a certain group took over Germany and the EU? Remember how it happened? Then people cried too late!?
Everybody wants to pass the buck and outsource their problems, now even those who are in a position to do something about it…
That’s why people such as Donald Trump get elected. Lead, follow or get out of the way~!
Government solves few problems. It stops the gravy train.
