Newly Certified Helmet Fitters Available at John Pennekamp State Park
Volunteers and staff members of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo gather for a group photo after receiving their certification for helmet fitting. The training was facilitated by Park Services Specialist, Elena Muratori, and co-taught by Alison Kerr of the Florida Department of Health in Monroe County. The training, which took place on November 28 in the Visitor Center at John Pennekamp State Park, allows certified helmet fitters to receive free helmets from the Florida Pedestrian Bicycle Resource Center, funded by the FDOT for distribution to the community at no cost. For more information about the program, call 305-676-3820.
