FRINGE THEATER HOLDS AUDITIONS DEC 2
Fringe Theater announces auditions for its new production, Key West Characters. Auditions will be held Sunday, Dec 2, from 3-5pm at The Studios of Key West, located at 533 Eaton Street. This is an All Welcome audition!
Key West Characters will run for two nights, Feb 26 and 27, in the backyard of the Oldest House on Duval Street. The evening will showcase 11 short plays, 10 directors, and countless actors! The plays all focus on “Key West characters.”
“This is the perfect time for folks who’ve always wanted to be in a play to audition,” explains artistic director Rebecca Tomlinson. “Because they’re short plays, and because we’re only running them two nights, the time commitment is dramatically reduced. Besides,” Tomlinson adds confidentially, “we need a lot of people!”
Auditioning is easy with the Fringe. Each person will perform a 1-2 minute monologue – which can either be memorized or read. Not sure which monologue to use? Go to the Fringe website for ideas. Or wait until the day of the audition, and read one of the monologues Fringe will provide. It couldn’t be easier!
