KEY WEST, Florida Keys — Beginning Oct. 4, United Airlines is to offer year-round daily nonstop service to Key West from New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport on United Express 70-seat Embraer E170 regional jets.
Additionally, from Feb. 14 through June 5, 2019 — peak travel season to Key West — United is to add a second daily Key West–Newark flight, also on E170 aircraft.
“It’s terrific that United is seeing and able to meet the passenger demand from the Northeast and the greater New York market,” said Richard Strickland, director of airports for the Florida Keys & Key West. “It’s fantastic that Newark is growing as a hub for Key West.”
United also is soon to add daily seasonal service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Key West.
Currently through Nov. 24, United operates nonstop weekend service to Key West from Chicago on Saturdays and Sundays.
United’s daily nonstop frequency from Chicago to Key West is to begin Nov. 25 and run through Jan. 5, 2019.
United is to resume its Chicago–Key West nonstop weekend service on Saturdays and Sundays Jan. 6 through Feb. 13, 2019, and resume daily nonstop service Feb. 14 through June 5, 2019.
United’s E170 aircraft have seating for 64 main cabin and six first-class passengers.
