Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council to meet in Marathon

Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary will hold an Advisory Council meeting at the Hyatt Place in Marathon, Florida, at 9 a.m. on April 17, 2018. The meeting is open to the public.

Sanctuary Advisory Council members will hear hurricane response updates on community engagement in underwater marine debris removal efforts and the status of canal debris removal. There will also be presentations about a sanctuary-specific boater education course and the U.S. Coast Guard Waterways Division. And the sanctuary will honor its Volunteer of the Year.

Public comment will be taken at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. An agenda is posted at www.floridakeys.noaa.gov. This meeting will be streamed live on YouTube.
