Treasures of NOAA’s Ark opens in Islamorada
Treasures of NOAA’s Ark opening at the Florida Keys History & Discovery Center in Islamorada, FL, explores the history of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and how the agency, part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, has impacted people across the nation and world. Artifacts like 18th-century maps and early scientific instruments highlight NOAA’s legacy of science, service, and stewardship.
The traveling exhibition kicks off on April 18, 2018, with a free evening event 5-8 p.m. sponsored by Sanctuary Friends Foundation of the Florida Keys and featuring Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary experts on a range of topics including corals, shipwrecks and buoys.
