Florida Keys History and Discovery Foundation Names New Board Member
Islamorada, FL – The Florida Keys History and Discovery Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of Ocean Reef resident Bonnie Sorensen to the organization’s Board of Directors. Sorensen is a retired tradeshow executive who currently serves as chairman of the board for Tradeshow Logic, a full-service event solution company founded by her and her daughter. Sorensen, originally from Ohio and a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, now splits her time between Marietta, GA and Ocean Reef. Her Keys home is on the same property at which she spent much of her childhood vacationing with her family. She and her husband Norm have five children, 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
“Bonnie has been an early supporter of the Foundation and its efforts to create a world-class history and discovery center,” said Foundation President Rich Russell. “We are excited that she has made a commitment to our organization and our mission.”
The Foundation operates Keys History & Discovery Center, a museum dedicated to preserving and sharing the vast and unique history of the Upper Keys and Florida Keys. The 7,500 square foot facility offers two floors of exhibits, a 35-seat movie theater and the Jerry Wilkinson Research Library.
