Three Views of Florida at Frangipani March 2

Frangipani Gallery presents Three Views of Florida through Plein Air, Photography and Fused Glass at the First Friday Art Stroll on Upper Duval Friday March 2, 6-8 PM.  Come meet the artists and enjoy some refreshments while learning about various techniques used to capture our island home.

Paul Carmichael’s spectacular wildlife photography show at Gallery A features a selection of “one-shot” flight photos of various Florida birds.  His Roseate Spoonbills explode with color through the magic of a smoke haze at sunset.

“All Around Town” at Gallery B presents Karen Beauprie’s plein air watercolor paintings of Key West.  Karen teaches watercolor classes at the Key West Art Center and the Studios of Key West.  Along with two other artists, Karen recently started a local group of Urban Sketchers in order to show the world one drawing at a time.

Helen Rebane at Gallery A loves glass, saturated colors and stylish statements.  Her vibrant jewelry is precise and intricate.  Helen’s collection of vessels and panels feature colorful art and recycled aqua glass with organic structure and free form boundaries.
