Upper Keys Rotary Foundation Supports Post-Irma Relief Efforts

Ten not-for-profit organizations were awarded $46,500 in grant dollars to support post-Irma relief efforts. The Upper Keys Rotary Foundation raised this money from individuals, fellow Rotary clubs and family foundations. A breakdown of organizations and amounts received includes:

  • American Legion Post 154 (Marathon): $5,225
  • Coral Isles Church (Tavernier): $2,100
  • First Baptist Church of Islamorada: $5,225
  • Garden Club of the Upper Keys: $1,050
  • Good Health Clinic (Tavernier): $5,225
  • Habitat for Humanity of the Upper Keys: $2,100
  • Habitat for Humanity of the Middle Keys: $7,800
  • Habitat for Humanity of the Lower Keys/Key West: $2,100
  • KAIR/Keys Area Interdenominational Resources (Monroe County): $10,450
  • Treasure Village Montessori (Islamorada): $5,225

Representatives from the organizations visited the club on Feb. 6 to receive their checks and share briefly how the money will be used.
