Dana & Brian, Found Love at MatzoBall Miami Christmas Eve!

It’s that time again…

The stockings are stuffed, the presents are under the tree, but Jewish singles in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Delray Beach will be heading to The 31st Annual MatzoBall on Christmas Eve at: Miami’s Story nightclub, Fort Lauderdale’s The Vibe-Las Olas nightclub and Delray Beach’s, Il Baccio nightclub.

Thanks to MatzoBall parties, Christmas Eve has morphed into the biggest matchmaking night of the year for Jewish singles in south Florida. Just ask Fort Lauderdale residents, Dana and Brian, both 39, who met and fell in love at the Miami MatzoBall party in 2002. The couple have since gone on to marry and have 3 children with a fourth on the way and due April 2018.

It was early winter 2002, and both Dana and Brian, both then 24 and single heard about the MatzoBall through word of mouth and showed up with their respective circle of friends. According to Dana, “I was definitely looking to meet someone, but I wasn’t expecting it to happen that night.

“The place was pretty packed, the drinks were flowing and we were all dancing when me and my friends met Brian and his group of friends.”  The happy couple now has two boys, ages 9 and 11, a daughter, age 6, and another daughter on the way.

According to Brian, his single brother plans to attend this year and is hoping lightning will strike for him as well. In terms of the next generation, Dana says, she would definitely be into her own kids attending a MatzoBall Christmas Eve party someday. “I would encourage my own kids to go.” They also share that their three kids are very familiar with their parents love story that started at club Opium at the 2002 Miami, Florida MatzoBall.
