“First We Marched. Now We Act.” Women’s March Florida to host four regional events across the state on January 21st, 2018

(Key West, Fla–Nov 27, 2017)  On January 21, 2018, the one-year anniversary of the largest political protest in recent U.S. history, Women’s March Florida will lead a statewide “Day of Action” to bring awareness, support and donations to our nearby sister island communities that were affected this hurricane season; Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Florida Keys.  The event will also focus on expanding voter access and registration, a crucial step towards meaningful change.

Who:     Women’s March Florida members, regional ally organizations and all those dedicated to social justice.

What:    This Day of Action includes various activities in support of hurricane-affected sister island communities, as well as activities to expand voter access and registration.

When:   Sunday, January 21, Time TBA.

Where: Four regional action events across the state of Florida will be held in Miami, Orlando, St. Petersburg, and Jacksonville.
