Miami men charged with illegal fish
Two Miami men received notices to appear in court after a deputy found they had illegally caught bonefish and an undersized snapper.
Deputy Seth Hopp was on foot patrol just before noon on Sunday, checking on people fishing from bridge at the 39 mile marker of Highway U.S. One. He spoke with 79 year old Mario Salgado Rizo and 38 year old Miguel Pacheco, both of Miami. They gave him permission to search their cooler. Inside, Deputy Hopp found two illegally harvested bonefish. He also found an undersized mutton snapper.
He issued both men notices to appear in court for the violations.
