A Night at the Museum: Exhibits Come to Life! Auctioning Unique Trips and Goods
Islamorada, FL – A trip for eight to Cabo San Lucas. Four park hopper passes to Walt Disney Parks. A snorkeling and sunset cruise for 20. These are just a sampling of the auction items up for bid at A Night at the Museum: Exhibits Come to Life! to be held Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at the Keys History & Discovery Center located at the Islander Resort, a Guy Harvey Outpost.
The Florida Keys History and Discovery Foundation’s new signature event, A Night at the Museum, is co-chaired by Foundation Board Members Bob Lodge and Erin Muir, and includes a fun-filled evening, incorporating a cocktail reception in the museum where historical figures (think Indians, pirates and Henry Flagler) from the exhibits will come to life, a surf-and-turf dinner, live and silent auctions, and dessert.
During the live auction, attendees can bid on a spectacular six-day/six-night stay for up to eight people at the exquisite Cabo San Lucas Villas. Located on the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, the villa comes with a private pool and world-class views of the Sea of Cortez, as well as four large private suites, each with large ornate bathrooms. The private accommodations are situated in an ultra exclusive gated community on the Sea of Cortez, where there exists great fishing and whale watching, as well as golf courses, shopping and nightlife.
Another live auction item is an original painting by local artist Dan Lawler who will be painting during the event. Silent auction items include passes to Walt Disney’s parks – Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a snorkel and sunset sail for 20 out of the Florida Sea Base, half-day offshore fishing on the Blue Chip Too, and an assortment of artwork and home goods.
