Oct. 14th – SOUTHSIDE JOHNNY AND THE ASBURY JUKES

Emerging in the ’70’s from the same New Jersey Shore music scene as his legendary contemporary and friend Bruce Springsteen, Southside’s first three albums, I Don’t Want To Go Home, This Time It’s for Real, and Hearts of Stone, were produced by band co-founder Steven Van Zandt, and largely featured songs penned by Van Zandt and/or Springsteen. The Van Zandt-written “I Don’t Want To Go Home” became Southside’s signature song, an evocative mixture of horn-based melodic riffs and sentimental lyrics. In 1982 Rolling Stone Magazine voted Hearts of Stone among the top 100 albums of the 1970s and 1980s.

Oct 24th – TOAD THE WET SPROCKET – 8pm/Doors 7pm

Toad the Wet Sprocket (Glen Phillips on lead vocals and guitar, Dean Dinning on bass and vocals, Todd Nichols on lead guitar and vocals, and Randy Guss on the drums) share in the kind of musical chemistry that can only come from meeting in high school and writing, recording and touring on albums over the course of those 25 years. After Bread & Circus, they followed with Pale in 1990, fear in ’91, Dulcinea in 1994, and Coil in 1997, as well as some compilation and rarities compilations along the way. While most will feel the comforting familiarity of the Billboard-charting hits, “Walk on the Ocean”, “All I Want”, “Something’s Always Wrong”, and “Fall Down”, new fans will also be well familiar with their new hits such as “California Wasted” which continues to climb the charts.

Nov 8th – OTTMAR LIEBERT – 8pm Show/Doors 7pm

With his engaging mix of subdued flamenco guitar and South American percussion, rock, jazz, and pop influences, German guitarist Ottmar Liebert’s “attitude” actually suppresses the more challenging and “dangerous” aspects of flamenco in favor of the romantic and the stylish. His feel for the music’s innate sensuality and a gift for creating memorable melodies helped to bring flamenco to the mainstream.

Nov. 15th – THE AUSTRALIAN BEE GEES

It’s Saturday Night Fever every night with The Australian Bee Gees Show – A Tribute to the Bee Gees. You’ll hear hits like Staying Alive, You Should Be Dancing, How Deep Is Your Love, and Jive Talkin’ and all of your faves!

The performers authentic take on the trio’s clothes, style and moves showcase five decades of the Brothers Gibb’s success as rock and disco legends, while audiences groove to their memorable music and are immersed in the disco era. The President of the Bee Gees Fan Club, USA has said, “In my opinion they are the best Bee Gees tribute in the world!”

Dec. 8th – JJ GREY – 8pm/Doors 7pm

Over the course of six albums and a decade of touring, JJ Grey’s grimy blend of front porch soul and down-home storytelling has taken him around the world and back again. Beating the streets on nearly every continent, he and his band Mofro have sewn a continuous thread of laying-it-on-the-line shows that move folks to dance and at times to tears.

Jan 8th, 2018 – THE ZOMBIES – 8pm Show/7pm Doors

The Zombies are now in their 54th year and are cited as being one of the most influential UK pop/rock bands of all time. Aside from the Beatles and perhaps the Beach Boys, no mid-’60s rock group wrote melodies as gorgeous as those of the Zombies. Dominated by Colin Blunstone’s breathy vocals, choral backup harmonies, and Rod Argent’s shining jazz- and classical-influenced organ and piano, the band sounded utterly unique for their era. To this day, they’re known primarily for their three big hit singles, “She’s Not There”, “Tell Her No”, and “Time of the Season”, however they have released multiple albums in recent years, both in the studio and live.

Jan 26th + 27th – ARLO GUTHRIE – 8pm Show/7pm Doors

Arlo Guthrie has been known to generations as a prolific songwriter, social commentator, master storyteller, actor and activist. Born in Coney Island, New York in 1947, Arlo is the eldest son of Marjorie Mazia Guthrie, a professional dancer with the Martha Graham Company and founder of The Committee to Combat Huntington’s Disease, and America’s most beloved singer/writer/philosopher/artist Woody Guthrie. Arlo has become an iconic figure in folk music in his own right with a distinguished and varied career spanning over fifty years.

Feb 15th, 2018 – JESSE COLIN YOUNG BAND – 8pm Show/7pm Doors

Who hasn’t heard the beautiful Youngblood’s rendition of Get Together penned by Dino Valenti? It has been featured in endless films, TV and on heavy radio rotation since it first was recorded in 1967. For 50 years Jesse Colin Young has been singing songs about peace, relationships and the environment. From his folk days in Boston and his first record, Soul Of a City Boy, he has articulated and recorded the tumultuous times of the 60s, 70’s, 80’s to the present, while reminding us that it is all about family, community and the precious natural world we live in. His musical style is now considered Americana, but in fact it’s his unique fusion of jazz, blues, folk and rock with an emphasis on his extraordinary voice that makes his signature sound.

Mar 2nd, 2018 – GEORGE WINSTON – 8pm Show/7pm Doors

George Winston grew up mainly in Montana, and also spent his later formative years in Mississippi and Florida. During this time, his favorite music was instrumental rock and instrumental R&B, including Floyd Cramer, the Ventures, Booker T & The MG’s, Jimmy Smith, and many more. Inspired by R&B, jazz, Blues and rock (especially the Doors), George began playing organ in 1967. In 1971 he switched to the acoustic piano after hearing recordings from the 1920s and the 1930s by the legendary stride pianists Thomas “Fats” Waller and the late Teddy Wilson. In addition to working on stride piano, he also at this time came up with this own style of melodic instrumental music on solo piano, called folk piano. In 1972, he recorded his first solo piano album, BALLADS AND BLUES 1972, for the late guitarist John Fahey’s Takoma label.

Mar 3rd, 2018 – ANA POPOVIĆ – 8pm Show/7pm Doors

The award-winning, hard-touring, guitar slinger blends smoking electric funk and slide guitar, jazzy instrumentals and a tight blues groove with soulful, feminine vocals. In 2013 Ana appeared on the cover of Vintage Guitar, Guitar Player’s Gear Guide and American Blues Scene. Her album ‘Can You Stand The Heat’ was a “Pick Of The Week” by USA Today and featured on NPR Music. In 2014 Ana received her 5th Blues Music Award nomination for ‘Contemporary Blues Female Artist’ of the year. Nearly all of Ana’s albums made it the Top 5 of the Billboard Blues Charts and are being played regularly on US radio.

Mar 9th, 2018 – BODEANS: Stripped Down, Beautiful Renditions of BoDeans Classics

Chart topping songs like “Fadeaway,” “Only Love,” and “Dreams” won them Rolling Stone‘s readers poll for Best New American Band in 1987and support slots with U2, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Tom Petty, George Thorogood, The Pretenders, David Bowie and numerous others. Mar 10th, 2018 – MARC BROUSSARD – 8pm Show/7pm Doors

The son of Boogie Kings guitarist (and Louisiana Hall of Fame member) Ted Broussard, singer/songwriter Marc Broussard was seemingly destined for a life as a music man. His upbringing in Lafayette, Louisiana, instilled in him an affinity for R&B alongside the Cajun trappings of southern Louisiana. Drawing vocal and stylistic influence from Otis Redding and Brian McKnight while bearing the preternaturally gruff vocals of John Hiatt and Dr. John, Broussard was barely 20 at the time of his first album’s release. He has opened for and shared stages with everyone from Maroon 5 and the Dave Matthews Band to Willie Nelson, O.A.R., and Bonnie Raitt. In March of 2011, two songs — “Lucky” and “Only Everything” — were issued for digital download as a precursor to his self-titled, Jamie Kenney-produced album that appeared in July that also signaled his return to Vanguard.

Mar 13th, 2018 – GET THE LED OUT – 8pm Show/7pm Doors

Dubbed by the media as “The American Led Zeppelin,” Get The Led Out present a two hour + set each night that spans the mythic career of the legendary British supergroup. With a strong focus on the early years, they also touch on the deeper cuts that were seldom, if ever heard in concert.

Mar 17th, 2018 – FIREFALL – 8pm Show/7pm Doors

Firefall melded country, folk, easy listening and rock, creating a sound uniquely their own. They helped to define a generation and forever change the landscape of contemporary music. One of the few surviving bands of their genre, Firefall has remained true to the founding vision throughout the band’s 30 year history. With hits like, “Just Remember I Love You,” “You Are The Woman,” “Mexico” and “Strange Way,” Firefall saturated the air waves with a string of Top 20 hits, earning two platinum and three gold records for their efforts. Their dynamic live performances gained them a huge and loyal fan base – one that continues to grow even now. In their current live shows, the band nurtures and expands on their distinctive melodic sound. Their much-loved hits are faithfully recreated with freshness rare in live performances of such classics.

Apr 1st, 2018 – JOHN SEBASTIAN – 8pm Show/7pm Doors

John Sebastian and his group The Lovin’ Spoonful played a major roll in the mid-’60s rock revolution. You know the songs by heart: “Do You Believe In Magic?” “You Didn’t Have To Be So Nice.” “Daydream.” “Younger Girl.” “Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind?” “Summer In The City.” “Rain On The Roof.” “Nashville Cats.” “Six O’Clock.” “Darling Be Home Soon.” “Younger Generation.” These songs did more than simply answer the British invasion, they carried the musical tradition into the future.
