One person who has been working nonstop to do welfare checks on residents and giving status reports of anyone who asks via satellite phones that he left with people on the Island and his Facebook Page is Quincy Perkins. He has been working day and night from North Carolina since before the storm hit helping people evacuate with the cars and gas he left behind and connecting others by networking. He’s a true public servant (and excellent filmmaker by the way!)
