Home burns in Marathon
Fire extensively damaged a home in Marathon overnight.
The fire was reported to Sheriff’s dispatchers at 10:49 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies responded and found all occupants had gotten out safely. Firefighters arrived and the fire was extinguished by 11:20 p.m. The house, at 7546 Gulfstream Boulevard in Marathon, sustained severe damage.
A fire marshal responded and will be investigating the cause of the blaze. The Red Cross responded as well to assist the affected family.
