A BOATING COURSE THAT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE

The Key West Sail and Power Squadron offers the “American Boating Course” at the Key West Sail and Power Squadron, 5205 College Rd., Stock Island. The 1 1/2 day course will be held on Saturday, May 6th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday, May 7th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The American Boating Course will give the individual their Florida State Boater’s ID card which is required for anyone born after January 1st, 1988 to operate a boat of 10 horse power or more. The means that anyone who is 29 years old or younger is required to have the Boater’s ID card. The fee is $60.00 covers the cost of the materials and an additional $15.00 for a family member who is willing to share materials. For information, call Vince Melendy at 305-296-1126.
