DISTRICT STUDENTS RECEIVE $7000 IN CASH AWARDS FOR SUCCESSFUL CERTIFICATION COMPLETION

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Students participating in <Monroe /> COMPUTE$ received monetary awards for their completion of Microsoft Office Certification. In addition to the cash award and industry certification, they also earned three college credits and funds for their classrooms. Sugarloaf middle school student, Steven Winemiller and 9th grader, Cory Bisson, from Marathon High School were presented with $500 from <Monroe /> COMPUTE$ for successfully completing their Microsoft Office Certification. <Monroe /> COMPUTE$ also awarded students from either Coral Shores High School or Plantation Key School $400 for their successful completion of the Microsoft Office Certification, with one student receiving $500 from Coral Shores. Horace O’Bryant students were also awarded between $400 and $500 for their hard work. More than 400 students in IT classes can take certification tests anytime, whenever they are ready.
