ART TOUR TO CUBA – MON MAY 1 – FRI MAY 5, 2017

In 2014, Gallery on Greene first partnered with The Studios of Key West on a historic trip to Cuba, as part of our groundbreaking cultural exchange, One Race, The Human Race. In addition to meeting Cuba’s leading artists, the group was overwhelmed by the romance of Havana – the architecture, the food, the people and yes, the crazy antique cars.

This Spring, we’ll be returning together for the 3rd time – May 1-5, 2017 – and we hope you can join us!

What we’ve learned is that the perfect way to see the city is through the eyes of artists. Cuba’s contemporary art scene has been riding a tidal wave of international interest for years, and artists possess a unique status in Cuban society. Over conversations, studio visits and sumptuous meals with leading cultural figures, we’ll tour the back streets and trendy neighborhoods of Havana and gain unique insight into how Cubans think and live.

Accommodations are at the 5-star Hotel Parque Central, in the heart of Old Havana. Most meals are included, but you’ll also have opportunities to venture off on your own, and if you’ve never been to Havana – or haven’t been lately – you’ll be surprised at the city’s sophisticated restaurant scene.

The tour fee is $3,850 (if traveling by yourself, there’s a $950 “single supplement” so you have your own room), and a $1,000 deposit will reserve your spot.
