Key West Garden Club January meeting

Key West local orchid enthusiast, Jay Pfahl, will be our guest presenter on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.  The meeting is to be held in the pavilion of the West Fort Martello on Atlantic Blvd.  the meeting is free and open to the public.

Jay maintains the Internet Orchid Species Photo Encyclopedia, the largest single reference site on species orchids in the world. He has traveled extensively in the Americas and Africa documenting orchids in the wild. At the presentation he will be talking about finding orchids and how they grow in the wild. There will be many photos of orchids in their natural settings and also some views of the countries in which they occur.

Jay is the current president of the Key West Orchid Society and actively grows over 4,000 orchids in Key West. He will have some orchids available for purchase at the meeting.
