FKCC Invites All to Community Day

FKCC welcomes all to Community Day on Nov. 5.  The event will include fun and educational activities, live performances by local talent, and a salute to veterans.

KEY WEST, FL, November 1, 2016—Florida Keys Community College invites all to its fifth annual Community Day on Saturday, November 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the Key West Campus.  The free, family-friendly event is a celebration of the many members of our vibrant Keys community.

Community Day will feature a full slate of live performances, interactive educational exhibits, games and activities, arts and crafts vendors, food, music, and free T-shirts. Scheduled presentations include:

  • 10:45 a.m.– The Dance Factory
  • 11:00 a.m.– Jessica Richards’ Dance Studio
  • 11:30 a.m.– Salute to Veterans, led by FKCC President, Dr. Jonathan Gueverra, and featuring the Key West High School Reserve Officers’ Training Corp
  • 12:00 p.m.– Free live raffle for Raku pottery pieces
  • 12:30 p.m.– Hip Hop & Groovy Kids Dance
  • 1:00 p.m.– Key West Sports Academy
  • 1:30 p.m.– Key West High School Drum Line
