Joe Garcia Celebrates His Birthday with a Day of Action and Celebration

Miami, FL—Today former Congressman Joe Garcia celebrated his birthday with a day full of grassroots outreach by supporters. Team Joe knocked on doors and made phone calls to people from all across the community, speaking to them about why they’re supporting Joe and why they believe he is the best person to fight for South Florida in Congress.

“I happily spent my day volunteering for Joe because I know how hard he has fought for me and every other person in South Florida,” said Esther Garvett, a retired school teacher and Garcia volunteer. “Joe was a real voice for this community in Congress and I’m excited to help on his birthday, and every other day, to send him back to Washington.”

Addressing a room full of volunteers, supporters, friends and family, Joe Garcia said, “I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my birthday than by being here with you and working together to move South Florida forward. This is a gathering of the team with only 26 more days to go. Thank you everyone for being here with us.”

After the day of action, more than 60 volunteers gathered at La Carreta in Kendall to wish Joe a happy birthday. These volunteers are the strength behind the Garcia campaign’s robust grassroots program, which has made more than 200,000 phone calls and door-to-door visits to homes in the district.
