Joe Garcia Opens Campaign Office in Westchester

Joe Garcia hosts office opening event at his third grassroots campaign office in Westchester, FL

Today, former Congressman Joe Garcia hosted the grand opening of his third campaign office in the Westchester neighborhood of Miami. Joe grew up in the neighborhood and attended Miami Dade College’s Kendall campus nearby. Joe was joined by dozens of friends, family and volunteers from the neighborhood who are working to send him back to Congress so he can continue fighting for South Florida.

“I’m looking forward to walking the same neighborhoods I grew up in as a kid,” said Joe Garcia, candidate for Florida’s Congressional District. “We’ve run a people’s campaign focused on the issues that matter to South Florida families. Having an office in Westchester gives more of our volunteers an opportunity to go out and speak to their neighbors about our work and history.”

In Congress, Garcia delivered for his district. He successfully cut student loan rates for our students, which have since dropped to their lowest point in 10 years. Garcia was also an advocate for clean water and the environment, having secured $200 million for everglades restoration and an additional $2 million in funding for water quality improvements. He was also successful in securing federal dollars for job training in South Florida and for local transportation projects.
