Key West’s biggest summer street festival returns for a twenty-eighth year. It opens Wednesday August 5 with the free Kick-Off Party at Rick’s and Durty Harry’s, 7 to 9 p.m., and peaks Saturday August 8 with the free Street Fair and Concert along the 100 to 500 blocks of Duval, noon to 11 p.m.
The concert stage runs 1 to 10 p.m. with Just George, Fried Newt, Jordan Oaks, and headliner The Durtbags. Ticketed events through the week include the Lobster Boil at The Porter Mansion, a four-course dinner with celebrity chef Richard Blais, and a Duval pub crawl. The festival benefits the Key West High School Scholarship Fund.
