Joanna Brady Schmida arrived in Key West in 1995 after a long career as a Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather advertising in Toronto.
She began a new career in journalism after a few years here, contributing to the now defunct Island News, to the Key West Citizen, and more recently, Solares Hill. Over the years, she has written about homes in Key West, theater revues, gardening, and a long-running food column.
Joanna has a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Toronto. She has traveled extensively and spends a part of the summer in Southwest France. In 2012, she published The Woman at the Light, a historical novel about Key West (published by St. Martin’s Press). She is presently working on a second novel.
Joanna’s stories can be found in the KONK Life Real Estate section: HERE.

Dear Konk representative,
I am attempting to obtain the personal email address for Joanna Schmida. I have an urgent and timely personal matter that I wish to discuss with her and her husband.
They are unaware of my last name but have recently met me through their son, Terry. I would appreciate it if you could forward a request to her to contact me directly by email (listed below). Thanks for your help.
