A Big Week in the Monroe County Schools

November 9^th through 13^th

November 9^th through the 13^th will be a very busy week in the Monroe County Schools with three major new initiatives and partnerships being recognized.  These three programs are all new to the MCSD in 2015-2016 and are part of our efforts to provide higher academic rigor and opportunities for all students.

Individual press releases for each of these partnerships and associated events are attached.  Representatives from each organization are available for interviews for additional details.  Members of the media are invited and encouraged to attend the events noted.

• Experiment in International Living – Global Essay Contest for MCSD high school students – several in-school presentations and opportunities

• Future Florida Physicists –  Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, November 10^th 3:00 PM at Marathon High School

• National Math & Science Initiative – Kick Off Event on Friday, November 13^th 10:00 AM at Marathon High School
