Woman Arrested For Stabbing Her Sister

A Stock Island woman was arrested today for stabbing her sister with a knife.

The victim told Deputy Freddy Rodriguez she and her sister, 22 year old Courtney Lozada, had been out drinking Saturday night. She said they live together on Stock Island. They returned home in the early morning hours Sunday and got into an argument.

She said during the argument, her sister picked up a large kitchen knife and stabbed her in the forearm.

The victim said she had a friend drive her to the emergency room where she received numerous staples to close the wound.

Courtney Lozada was placed under arrest. She was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon and she was booked into jail.
