The Asheville jam-scene’s new supergroup, Electro Lust, brings their mix of electronic funk with live beats and brass back to The Parrot stage with sets at 5:30, 9:00 and 11:00 pm on Saturday, and 5:30 PM on Sunday,
Featuring four core-members of Parrot favorite “Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band”, Lee Allen, Mary Frances, Derrick Johnson, and Jonathan Cole as well as guitar/vocalist Jamie Hendrickson from The Fritz, it’s a lineup instantly recognizable to Parrot patrons.
Electro Lust’s performances are high-energy, exciting, super-charged affairs combining electronically curated tracks with live musicians and a full brass section. Heavily influenced by a diverse blend of multicultural music from around the globe, they keep their audiences engaged as they move between Funk, Latin, Cuban, Afrobeat, and much more…
