2024 Walk on White set to WOW with fresh diversity of offerings
An inviting new season of “Walk on White” evenings are set to kick off on Oct 17 and continue monthly every third Thursday through May. Launched in 1999 to promote and celebrate Key West’s mid-town gallery district and showcase the range and caliber of its artists, WOW has now evolved to include a variety of White St. district businesses and destinations that will open their doors to the arts loving public.
Strollers through the WOW district, which encompasses the stretch of White St. running from Southard to United and extends along several of its cross-streets, can explore an array of arts-focused offerings at more than 20 destinations showcasing the works of painters, photographers, sculptors, ceramic and mixed media artists, and artisan jewelry makers while enjoying beautiful island architecture, exhibit openings, creative demonstrations, musical, literary and performance offerings, complimentary libations and the pleasure of connecting with community. And in the spirit of community, each month WOW will spotlight a local non-profit organization while providing fun and creative fundraising opportunities for them. Walk on White is sponsored in part by the Monroe County Tourist Development Council. For more information and a list of participating locations, visit www.WalkOnWhiteKeyWest.com.
