Key West, FL., and April 2, 2016: Clear the stage and make way for Huey Lewis & the News one of America’s great rock & roll bands. As they enter their 36th year together, their contagious brand of music has outlasted countless trends, and is as fresh today as ever. Formed from two rival Bay Area bands in 1979, they continue to thrill audiences worldwide, selling over 20 million albums in the process, earning them the right to mark their place on the pop history map.

These Grammy Award winners have written and performed such classic Top Ten Hits as “Heart of Rock & Roll”, “Stuck with you”, “I Want a New Drug”, “If This Is It”, “Hip to Be Square” “Do You Believe In Love” and “Back In Time” for the hit film “Back to the Future”. “The Power of Love”, nominated for an Academy Award, went to #1 on Billboard’s Singles chart, and was a smash hit worldwide.

Concert will be held at the Truman Annex Waterfront, next to Zachary Taylor State Park at the end of the 7th Florida Keys Ocean Festival which supports coral reef restoration and research programs at Mote Marine Lab in the Florida Keys

The 7th Annual Florida Keys Ocean Festival is an all ages event starting with the Tuna Trot, “Race for the Reef” 5K at 8am, followed by an all-day fun filled festival (10a -6pm) featuring live music, local food, arts, crafts, educational booths, touch tanks, live animals, shopping at more than 100 vendor booths, and a huge silent auction. The festival also features a free kids fishing seminar, painting for the kids with world renowned marine artist, Wyland, a live painting exhibition and live auction by Wyland, and Howard Livingston & The Mile Marker 24 band. Last year’s event drew a crowd of 8,000 people! “What a great weekend for Key West and the Florida Keys with the Tuna Trot 5K, Florida Keys Ocean Festival, Keystock with Huey Lewis & The News, and the Blue Angels Air Show Spectacular…Air, Land, Sea, & Music….this weekend has it all!” Says Jason Wolf from Mote Marine Lab.

Homes for Veterans Inc. is a non-profit organization our mission is to provide active & inactive military personnel and their families housing. It is a community program and community support is needed. All donations go directly to building homes and housing veterans as needed.
