CHEF KEVIN MONTOYA PROMOTED TO CORPORATE EXECUTIVE CHEF FOR SPOTTSWOOD HOTELS
Key West, FL, 1BJanuary 6, 2016 –Spottswood Hotels is pleased to announce the promotion of Kevin Montoya to Corporate Executive Chef. In his new position, Chef Kevin will be responsible for all the culinary aspects of all Spottswood Management food and beverage outlets, including Marathon’s Tarpon Creek Bar and Grill and the newly opened Lighthouse Grill located at the Faro Blanco Resort and Yacht Club.
Kevin’s award-winning culinary talents have been on display throughout Florida since 1990 and he has been the executive chef at the Casa Marina Resort, Ocean Key Resort, and Sunset Key’s iconic Latitudes restaurant. Currently – and since its opening – Kevin has been the chef at the company’s flagship restaurant, Tavern N Town, located in the Key West Marriott Beachside Hotel. During the past eight years at the Marriott, Kevin has been nominated for the Marriott Award of Culinary Excellence, was a four time winner of the Master Chef’s Classic, and led the Marriott food and beverage team to two top 5 finishes for overall quality within the Marriott Americas continental region.
